Internal Standard

Refuse good enough in yourself. The disposition to push past satisfaction into genuine improvement. AI produces outputs that feel complete. The person with internal standard treats that feeling as a signal to keep going — and knows how to use the tool to go further.

External Friction

Deliberately seek the critic. Embrace perspectives that challenge rather than confirm. AI tightens feedback loops. External friction deliberately breaks them. Genuine challenge, on demand, without requiring the right person in the right room.

TENET 03

Synthesis and Mediation

Integrate difference into something neither party could produce alone. Most strategy processes produce the lowest common denominator. Genuine synthesis uses tension productively. Approval is visible in the meeting. Adoption is visible in execution.

TENET 04

Generative Strategy

Operate in the freed space. When the first three tenets have cleared the drag — mediocrity, blind spots, unresolved conflict — something opens. AI handles the analytical burden. The person with generative strategy uses what remains to build what could not have been imagined when the burden was still there.

TENET 05

Legacy

Design for what continues without you. Not productivity. Permanence. The only question that matters at the end is not what you built, but what you built it for. Every individual development arc points, eventually, toward this.
